The Saturday Research Academy is an academic program geared towards students in the last two years of high school, with the purpose of motivating them through a university research experience in STEM and civil engineering. Focused on disaster risk management, the course allows students to apply the scientific method and develop skills to analyze, evaluate and create solutions to phenomena such as earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and landslides from geological and social perspectives. This program, which takes place at the Santo Domingo campus, is promoted through social networks, mass mailings and school visits.
