Star Hunters is an initiative whose objective is to inspire, educate and empower women interested in astronomy. This program encourages the active participation of girls, young women and women in the exploration and scientific dissemination of the universe, promoting inclusion and gender equity in the field of space sciences.
The activities offered include educational workshops, astronomical observations, motivational talks and collaborative projects. These are carried out in person and virtually, so that participants are not only introduced to the field of astronomy, but also become agents of change and disseminators of science.
The program organizes workshops 4 to 6 times a year, astronomical observations 3 to 5 times a year, and outreach talks about 6 to 8 times a year.
The activities are promoted mainly through its website, social networks, and visits. In addition, they are held in various locations around the country, not only on the university campus.
