The International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IM²C) is an international competition that aims to promote the development of mathematical modeling skills among high school students. Students work in teams to solve real problems by applying mathematical concepts and modeling, which allows them to develop skills in critical thinking, creativity and teamwork.
This competition is held annually, both face-to-face and virtually. Teams of students must solve an authentic mathematical modeling problem, collaborating with each other to find a solution.
The IM²C is held annually and is open to students from around the world, encouraging international participation. Promotional materials include flyers distributed in schools, social media posts and a website providing details on how to participate.
