Women and Girls in Science Day is an annual event organized to encourage girls' and young women's interest in STEM fields, with the goal of reducing the gender gap in science and technology. Through workshops and talks, as well as hands-on laboratory experiences, it seeks to inspire female high school students to consider careers in science. In addition, a scholarship is awarded to the student with the best average during the event. The call is made through partnerships with schools, direct contact with counselors and promotion through social networks.
