The Energy and Environment Degree is an initiative to attract female students to energy-related engineering studies, a field traditionally dominated by men. It aims to make these studies more attractive to a wider public, integrating social sciences with technical disciplines. It also seeks to contribute to gender equality in the energy sector, both in academic institutions and in energy companies, public bodies and local authorities.
The five-year program takes an interdisciplinary approach, combining engineering with environmental and social sciences. It is aimed specifically at female high school students, helping them to explore and participate in the energy field, thus promoting gender balance in a largely male-dominated sector.
Its objectives include:
"Empower Latin-American Higher Education for Inclusion and STEM Attraction."
