Niñas Pro is a Chilean organization dedicated to empowering girls and adolescents from 7 to 17 years old by teaching programming and technology, in order to promote gender equality in STEM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Its mission is to inspire scientific and technological vocations in young women, challenging stereotypes and promoting inclusion from an early age.
Since its founding in 2016, Niñas Pro has worked to eliminate barriers in access to technology for girls and adolescents, providing programming courses and organizing educational events in different modalities: face-to-face and virtual. Although it does not have an exact number of the courses held, the organization has managed to impact more than 1800 girls enrolled each year.
The program is disseminated mainly through its website, social networks, talks, visits, and other media, involving professionals and university students in teaching. In addition, activities are carried out not only at the University of Chile, but also in various parts of the country.
