The University of Chile's Gender Equity Priority Admission Program is designed to reduce gender gaps, especially in areas such as Engineering and other STEM disciplines. This program offers quotas reserved for women who, although they do not reach the cut-off score for admission, meet the requirements to be admitted. Its main objective is to increase the enrollment of women in careers that traditionally have a low female representation.
The program is carried out once a year during the admission process, and is promoted through brochures, talks, visits, as well as social networks and the university's website.
