Since 1827, KTH has grown to become a leading international technical university. KTH is Sweden's oldest and largest technical university. It provides no less than one third of Sweden's technical research and engineering education capacity at university level. Its education and research today ranges from Natural Sciences to all branches of engineering and includes Architecture, Industrial Management and Urban Planning. KTH is also an important partner in five European knowledge and innovation communities formed by the prestigious EU organization EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology).
