Founded in 1939, in Mendoza, Argentina, the National University of Cuyo (UNCuyo) was created as a national public university to address the educational needs of the Cuyo region, identify the main challenges facing humanity and contribute to an ethical and more just society.
The UNCuyo seeks to promote gender equality in the university environment, in order to eradicate any kind of sexism. To this end, it articulates actions in a transversal manner including the entire university community, guaranteeing equal participation from a gender and human rights perspective in the learning environment.
