It is a private university founded in 1948 and is widely recognized for the quality of both its academic programs and research activities. It offers a total of 44 undergraduate, 80 master's and 17 doctoral programs; and has a total of 700 full-time faculty members and 18376 students, 4615 of whom are enrolled in graduate programs.
