Pontificia Universidad Javeriana

It is a private institution of higher education founded in 1623. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Colombia; with main campus in Bogota and sectional division in Cali, it is one of the 31 universities entrusted to the Society of Jesus in Latin America and one of the 200 worldwide.

It provides teaching, research and extension services with a global and interdisciplinary perspective for the achievement of a just, sustainable, inclusive, democratic and respectful of human dignity society.

Research, as one of its central purposes, seeks to expand knowledge in areas such as: biodiversity and development; citizenship, democracy and rights; communication, society and culture; conflict, displacement and peace; education, communication and pedagogy; social inclusion; infrastructure and territory; innovation for development; biomedical research; biotechnology; water and energy; health and society.
